Westport  is lucky to have a "Transfer Station" , and even luckier to have one that is managed by  talented artist and Master Gardener, Donna. She puts together clever  assemblages using the community's castoffs. I personally like her use of a certain type of empty Colbalt blue vodka bottle.( I feel it's my personal duty to help keep her well stocked.) The blue goes well with Donna's color pallet of lavender and periwinkle. Her sculptures are surrounded by mounds of rose geranium, nasturtiums. Vintage dishware sprouts artfully arranged succulents. Then there's her office. A cozy little den...sort of Eddie Bower meets the Addams Family. The pickled baby shark and the mummified barn swallow (wearing a cowboy hat) are a must-see.

Donna also serves as baby goat wrangler, due to the prolific herd of ungulantes that graze the neighboring sewer pond hillsides.
But that's another story.
