There’s nothing like soaking your hands in some fresh nitric acid….and the smell of a freashly roasted zinc plate. Before the California Mermaids became cartoon characters in the comic strip Feral West, they started out as etchings. This is one that predates the currently used starfish pasties. For those  wondering what the naughty gals are up to, look no further that the remote coast of northern Mendocino County. The Lost Coast of California is now home to Ferra ( the Blond, ) and Lana ( the brunette ) and a soon to be launched online gallery.
